Just like at the October P42 Lan, posting your team in this thread with your full roster and confirming your teams attendance will help greatly in getting the brackets drawn up. Also with Day 1 being a preliminary day we may be looking to expand the size of the tournament, depending entirely on the turnout we receive. So lets start this off.

Since a majority of the competitors will be reading this thread, I might as well give a little information and shed some light on the tournament itself. First off, we are not in control of the prize money. When the announcement is made for what the prize purse in source will be, you will know. Messaging me will not get you the answer. Now the tournament itself!

Since this is a 2-3 Day event, we would like to spread the source tournament out across a 2 day span. My current bracket size is set for 16 teams. However, I intend to change that number if over 16 teams are present and ready to play at the tournament. So the conclusion of the first day will not end in a grand finals match, instead it will play host to who the top 8 teams are and it will decide which teams will advance onto Day 2 for the Finals Tournament.

Day 1 - TEAM CHECK IN REQUIRED BEFORE 3PM! TEAM CHECK IN REQUIRED BEFORE 3PM!
Seedings will be officially released and the matches will be posted along with server information, I assure you the servers will run smoother and better than that of P42. At 4PM the Preliminaries Double Elimination Tournament will begin, The top 4 teams remaining in the upper bracket and the top 4 teams remaining in the lower bracket will comprise the Elite 8 teams who will participate in the Finals tournament.

Day 2 - Finals Double Elimination Tournament
A completely new tournament will begin on Day 2 that will consist of the 8 finalists from Day 1. This tournament is set to begin at 1 PM. As always times are subject to change, however, we would like to keep this entire event on a very smooth timetable.

So, as you all can tell we are noob at competing. My guys are all pretty decent, skill wise, but we are new to this. More or less we are going to just have fun and compete with some friends.

Annomoly and the guys from e know us (persistant, ikon etc).

Us 5 play on the BOE Utah DS servers in the pubs. We are looking to come out and have some fun! See you guys there.

The source tournament was a great turnout at GEEX for sure.. The servers ran well and I didn't have one complication on the tournament PC's... The competition was awesome and there was a lot of great sportsmanship! Props to jer for making this one amazing... I enjoyed the booths and watching all the different tournaments on the HUGE screens. Good job p42 and GEEX !

Good job JeR, as long as you stick around, CS will also stick around.

I also wanted to appologize to the CS teams for the confusion on the stage machines. Time contraints suck, but I'm glad the finals could be shoutcasted by Vansilli. Maybe SureShot won't show up some time and another team can win. lol

Great tournament, I thought those tournament PC's would suck but those guys at geekbox knew alot about what made a great PC, 2ms monitors FOR THE WIN! Kudos to Jer for running an amazing tournament. Hopefully we get an even better turnout for the CS competition. I felt like I was at CPL with Vansilli shoutcasting <3
