Sweet. Not that I'm a huge fan of the other ones, but I played them. Nice to see a non-mmorpg in the fantasy class coming out.

I'm pretty excited about D3. Some of the screenshots look really good on their site. Realistic gore and such really turns me on when it comes to games, and this game seems to deliver on a ton of details from what I can see so far. Definately buying this and Starcraft 2 when they come out.

I will definitely be checking out D3, D2 was the only RPG that I got hooked on. New Character classes look very interesting.

What I like so far about Starcraft 2 is the fact that the developers say that the gameplay will change some but not dramatically. Basically they're taking the same great game, adding and taking away more units and beefing up the graphics hardcore. I've heard good things from the people that got to play around with it at Blizzcon last year, so heres to hoping it stays just as awesome.
Hell, on odd days I even find myself playing a game of Starcraft, and the game is what, 12 years old now? Now that's an awesome game.

Actually Starcraft is 10 years old, but your point is well taken
If I remember, IPX was the only LAN network protocol that Starcraft supported for a long time. Luckilly we were running an IPX based Netware network at my work at the time, so Starcraft worked beautifully over that. We were all pumped when the IP version came out so we could play against guys in other offices.

I remember using the IPX in my Jr. High playing Starcraft, then broodwar came out and shortly after that, we would play on the weekends duking out 8 hour long battles!
I didn't mean to de-rail this post ( It was kILL@'s fault.

I was taking m information from when it first was shown at E3... lol my mistake. It was released March of 1998, so you are correct.
I remember rigging the Mac lab at my Junior High School as well to run it (with proper permission of course), and many times we would spend the entire day playing the game instead of doing school work. We even thought about doing an after-school like pay-to-play dealio with some form of sponsorship, but needless to say that fell through the cracks.
Yeah the IPX/SPX protocol thing I remember being a pain in the arse for PC's because with that version of Windows you needed the Windows disk to install the protocol, but it wasn't as bad for macs as far as I remember (I still hate macs though). I also was excited when they released the IP LAN option finally because I didn't have to keep around an annoying Windows disk anymoire.
And I figure derailing a post and it not crashing is better than the post exploding into a giant chunk of chemically-charred landscape complete with animal and human casualties.
To put it back on the rails, D3 will be cool. Buy it and play it.
