Full Version: TF2 Random team or not!?

Since some like it, some don't, lets hear it.

(probably won't change the fact that it won't be random draft, since the people who don't like it speak louder and more often)
Random would be awesome!!
I will say again what I have said before, a random team makes it possible for some random person who has never won before in a P42 tournament or any other tournament a chance to win.

As a self-promoting, elitest, god-complex counterstrike player, I laugh at the gall of you p42 underlings that dare assume that I would even think about being in the same server as a mere mortal. The sheer gall of you to think that I would grace you with my presence makes my enlightened head think that surely you must jest.

This must be a joke, I rumble in delight and mirth.
I prefer random as it would be more fun and unpredictable, IMO. Not only that, but without random teams you have to pair down as very few teams can get 8v8 so it goes down to 6v6 at best.

If its that big of a deal for the 1 or 2 teams that want their team, maybe we could do a small 6v6 to be run by THEM and a random tourney for fun for the rest of us??
I could bring back the 5 pound bag of gummies for the winners, if we do 2 tournies... There's just so little time for so many tournaments. Sad
random team would have been great..

Also coming from a competivie standpoint(Cevo/Cal/Cgs player), 6v6 is a much better format.. 2 medics and 2 demos are very dumb. Also I can help you guys get some good rulesets/maps so we don't have another Warpath fiasco.. l0l
I'm not using warpath again. EVER.
These are the tentative maps:

cp_granary
cp_badlands
ctf_2fort
cp_well
ctf_mach4
ctf_turbine
cp_fastlane
ctf_impact2
cp_dustbowl
cp_gravelpit

Rule set will be similar to CAL or STA.
kk.. I would say no 2fort cuz that's a pretty bad competive map, I dunno about impact2 don't play custom maps very often..

Otherwise that list looks pretty good.. cp_junction_pro is also being used by cevo so that could be a fresh change.. It's a gravelpit style cp map.
ugh. Thought I'd removed 2fort. good catch. I've hated that map since TFC.

I'll look at cp_junction_pro.
