This would have been cool last year as TF2 was a new game and no one was "great" at it but its pretty concrete now as the IMO replacement for CSS.
I am working on getting video cards as the prize for the tourney.
Respectfully I beg to differ greatly. TF2 is a laughingstock amongst the competitive community. A team that downloaded TF2 the day of GEEX took 2nd Place in the entire event and walked away with top end video cards. Where that same team, who plays CS at a high level, took 2nd place in Counter-strike after a very difficult and highly competitive tournament was concluded that same team took and walked away with Keyboard carry bags. TF2 may have had the luxury of getting thrown up on stage matches at GEEX at prime opportune times and may have appeared to falsify its allure as a competitive and popular game. The truth is TF2 is not competitive and it holds a very small degree of difficulty in competition. The teams who play competitively in Counter-Strike tournaments don't go and buy the game before the event. It is just to hard of a game to learn that quick, also the turnout for Counter-strike players tripled that of TF2 at Geex.
