Hey.. not sure if this is a real "bug" or not, but after I read a post in a forum then click on the P42 Forums link at the top and the listing of all forums comes up it still shows there are new posts in the same forum I just read the new posts in.

Yeah, the index page doesn't seem to update like the actual forums do. If you enter the forum, you'll see that the thread is marked as read. There's a link at the bottom that will mark all posts as read if you don't want to wait for your session to catch up. I don't know if it can be fixed.

I'll look at it this weekend, I find my browser caching a lot more on these forums, i'm thinking of adding some NON-Cache heaser tags to force the browser to reload, Then, i'll dig in and turn off the feature for read posts still showing.
I don't think it's caching. If you shift+reload on the index page, it still shows unread posts. So there must be somthing with your user session that isn't updating. The session is alive for 15 minutes, and it seems that the thread aren't marked as new after that amount of time (if you leave an come back and refresh, they're no longer "new" posts). And the problem is only on the main forum index.
Oh-No, Sorry, i should have made myself more clear... I'm experiencing two issues.
1. New posts don't show up until i do a hard refresh. (shift+reload)
2. New Posts always showing up.
Alrighty, Seems they know about it and don't really want to do anything about it. lol
They've stopped support for this version and working on thier 1.4 version.
It's a cookie/timestamp issue.
It's not fixed..live with it.

I figured out how to make it work. After you read the post, go to the forum that the thread is in, then the post will be marked at read on the main index. So it's treating the session in each forum differently than the session for the forum index... I think... Brad?

How could someone say "deal with it" with such an annoying bug. That's ridiculous. Good thing these forums are pretty much dead(no offense, just nothing going on) so its easy to remember what the actual latest post was before you click on the forum section again.

hahaha, yeah, it's technically still in beta, we're about ready to give the forums the load test though, so watch yer email.
