Here are pics of my Punisher case p0wd3r mentioned in his Star Wars Case post. p0wd3r and I (mostly p0wd3rWink) have been building the case and I am really excited for the finished product. The case is designed out of 1-1/2" and 3" PVC pipe. The design will not only be open air for cooling, but also have vacuum cooling as well pulling the hot air from components through the pipes and out the 4 pipes on the corners via 80mm fans.

don't you mean PWNisher!
Here is the case taken down and prepped for paint and polish. The Chrome painted stacks at the top may be replaced later on by 3.5" Polished Aluminum pipes.

Got around to starting the paint on the case today. I started off by using a "Hammered Silver" paint which gives the paint a textured look similar to what you would see on metal tubing.

Here is a closeup shot that shows the detail of the texture in the paint:

After the Silver had a chance to dry I started applying a light coat of flat black, I am going for a very dark gunmetal look.. almost black, but with the silver coming through slightly and the texture as well.

The flash on the camera really brought out the silver more than what you can see just by looking at it, but I think I will apply another coat of black and then top it off with a non-glossy clear coat.

I polished the aluminum pieces as well, but my camera battery died beforei I could get pictures .. so I will post those later.
Lookin good!
I see that you're a bounty and charmin man. Big Grin

The silver does give it that galvanized steel look.
I polished all the aluminum pieces with Mothers Billet Aluminum polish. The camera really doesn't do it justice..
I am beginning the reassembly of the case.. here are a couple pics:

I'll finish putting the hardware on and post more pics..
That's sweet look'n.
The chrome tips look pretty awesome.
